Porsche and Econometrics to Conduct Advanced Analytical Consumer Market Research for the Introduction of the New Cayenne Sport Utility Vehicle

CHICAGO - Econometrics, Inc., a leading database marketing and advertising solutions company, announced that it has entered into a marketing agreement with Porsche Cars North America and their advertising agency, Carmichael Lynch, to conduct advanced analytical consumer market research in preparation for the much-awaited launch of Porsche's new off-road sport utility vehicle, the "Cayenne". Porsche Cars North America, based in Atlanta, Georgia, announced the introduction of the Cayenne vehicle on June 9, 2000.

The Cayenne will be produced in a new factory in Leipzig, Germany, and will be available sometime in 2002.  Annual sales are expected to exceed 25,000 units worldwide.  Econometrics has provided predictive modeling and advanced marketing data to Porsche during the past two years in connection with the Porsche Boxster and 911 projects.

"Porsche is a well-known international brand name synonymous with the production of high performance sports cars," commented Walter G. Cornett III, CEO of Econometrics.  "We are very pleased to be involved with Porsche in the introduction of the Cayenne, their first-ever true off-road sport utility vehicle.  The Cayenne will have the classic Porsche flair and embody the Porsche philosophy in terms of engineering and performance."
