Chrysler Group Demonstrates Safety, Electronics and Powertrain Innovations at the 2005 SAE World Congress

  • Chrysler Group Exhibit Promotes Engineering Technology in Mainstream Automotive Markets

  • Keynote Presentation by Chrysler Group Executive: Achieving Greater Market Relevance with Model-Based Development

  • Chrysler Group Engineering Experts Participate in Panel Discussions on Advanced Safety Systems, Powertrain Technologies and Motorsports

Detroit, MI - The Chrysler Group, a long-respected engineering company, engages the engineering community at the 2005 SAE World Congress. With more participation in keynote and panel presentations than any other auto manufacturer, and one of the largest booths on the show floor, Chrysler Group will demonstrate and discuss how it uses technology to bring innovations to mainstream markets today and tomorrow in an ultra-competitive environment.

"Our involvement with the SAE World Congress allows us to share vision and exchange ideas with the extensive engineering community that revolves around the auto industry," said Eric Ridenour, Executive Vice President Product Development, Chrysler Group. "It gives us the opportunity to discuss through panels and individual conversations the challenge to continually increase quality in the vehicles of tomorrow, add more feature content and lower costs."

In addition to these vehicle displays, there will be video loops and experts to discuss Chrysler Group's technology being developed in vehicle safety systems, the company's new two-mode hybrid powertrain system being developed jointly with General Motors and, of course, the extremely popular HEMI engine with Chrysler Group's Multi-Displacement System (MDS) which gives customers improvements in fuel economy of up to 20 percent.
